Sgt. Michael Fredrick,
SLPD Dist. 3, Platoon
B Supervisor |
- There have been purse snatchings along
Grand, a group of three guys, 16 - 18 years old, operating
evenings. They will bump up against you, to see how
resilient you are and how easy it will be to get your items
from you.
- Women walking alone should walk along
walls, with the purses carried in their hand closest to the
wall, making the purse hard to get at.
- Walking in groups, make the purse hard
for them to get at by carrying it between your and your
companions
- During the holiday season, please be sure
to keep a look out for your packages as you move them to and
from your home and car. Be sure not to leave your
packages in your car for a long period of time.
- There was an assault and attempted
robbery in the neighborhood but the neighbors acted to stop
it.
- When all else fails, call the police.

sidewalks, prominent crossing signs, and more and better
street lamps.
- Cobblestones:
feedback has been more positive than negative;
