·        Since the city budget is in a deficit position, action has been proposed to have the city provide only once-per-week trash pickup in our neighborhood to cut costs.  In addition, the demolition scheduled for the property at 3115 Gustine has been delayed, due to lack of funds.

·        One neighbor reported that his friends were not willing to visit our neighborhood due to safety concerns with the barriers/barrels on the street feeding Grand Ave.  A discussion followed on the pros and cons of the temporary situation on Grand Ave.  Jennifer stated that accidents were down with 98 accidents and 2 fatalities last year.

·        Burglaries were up 28% primarily because vacant buildings had been to hit to remove copper when copper prices were at their peak. .

The next meeting will be February 23, 2010.
