Neighborhood
Stabilization Officer, Joe Thele about changes to the NSO
program |
- NSO service areas will no
longer be based on Wards; what the service areas
will ultimately look like is still being
decided
- NSOs will still work for the
Public Service Department but the Mayor's Office
will have some short term oversight of the NSO
program
- Joe will be taking over the
entire NSO program
- Sandy
Colvin will be our
interim NSO; you can reach her at (314)
773-0638
- Alderwoman Florida stated
that while central and south City areas were
well served by their NSOs, this solution was to
fix NSO problems on the north side of the
City

Michelle Maple for
South
Grand Community Improvement
District |
- No So. Grand parties this
year; since locals are already familiar with the
benefits of shopping on Grand, the funds will
now be spent on promoting the district to those
outside the local area
- August 27th Art Show:
Art
Dimensions will host
an exhibit event at the new Lemongrass patio on
the southwest corner of Grand and Juniata
- Efforts continue to get
Commerce Bank to utilize their space at Hartford
and Arkansas for parking
- There will be an additional
$0.005 sales tax on all South Grand businesses
to pay for capital improvements such as upgrades
in parking, lighting, and sidewalks
- In, addition, the rumors are
not true; Kreiger's is not going into the old
bank building at Juniata & Grand
|
|
Alderwoman
Jennifer Florida |
- South City National Bank (@
Grand & Gravois) now has enough funding,
thanks to a new TIF, to begin its refurbishment
of the building into residential condos; they
will be also be using the Melba Theater across
the street
- Businesses along Morgan Ford
continue to organize themselves by looking to
become a business district and even a special
tax district

umber so the police can contact you if they
need more information
