  • This is a new effort to promote community awareness since many changes in the organization will soon begin to affect city residents

  • For the District, low level crime across all categories is up; this reflects what is going on along the main roads and in shopping areas
  • Protect yourself: be aware of your surroundings, and do not leave items in plain view in your car
  • Times, dates, and locations for SLPD Thrid District Public Affairs Meetings are available on our schedule page
  • Use outdoor lighting around your home, it is a deterrent to criminals
  • Ladies' purses: discourage criminals, hold it close to you, and put on the shoulder strap
  • Use clubs for your car, they are still available at Grand Oak Hill Community Center for $10
  • When all else fails, call the police.
Alderwoman Jennifer Florida
  • Bike St. Louis will be expanding south of Tower Grove Park with a route through our neighborhood linking us to South City
  • Plans are being finalized for Grand improvements from Arsenal to Utah Place: new trees, sidewalks, and signals.  TGHNA members voted to draft a letter of support for this project.
  • South Side National Bank (tower at Gravois and Grand) soon begins interior renovations.  As part of that project, renovations to the store fronts across Grand should begin in 18 months.
  • Contact her office or attend TGHNA meetings to get more information about getting trees for your front yard and having the City pay half the cost to replace broken sidewalks (50/50 program)

  • Yoga studio to move in next to BP
  • Grand Habit will change its offerings to now include coins and jewelry
  • Jasoom will soon have live music to complement its new Mexican menu
  • Urban wine bar will offer a light tapas menu
  • Get your picture taken with Cupid.  February 11th, Noon to 3pm, along  S. Grand, $3 per photo
  • The Grand South Grand House Tour is set for April 22-23
Mr. Trahn from the Me Kong Restaurant
  • He & his family will be opening up the 12,000 sqft., old Comp&Soft space next to Me Kong as a banquet center
  • In order to address customer requests, they plan to soon open up the space which has been closed for ten years, and would appreciate the neighborhood's support of this project

  • Trash update: we need to do more clean up our alleyways, along the curbs and even our front yards
  • Make the most of our monthly street sweeping service: move your car
  • Remember, clean neighborhoods deter crime

  • Fat Tuesday Trivia Night, Tuesday 28th in the parish hall.  Tickets are $10 and the questions begin at 6:30pm.
